Drove a 2016 Miata on track, today.
Verdict: holy holy damn, they did an incredible job with this car. Design, engineering, dynamics, everything. It’s a perfect base for anyone who would buy it to do what people will do with this car. It’s beautiful.
Wish they were allowed to let people drive more than once, since there was literally one other person there to drive, and three cars sitting there idling.
I'd happily have spent all afternoon driving it.

It’s perfectly pretty. It wasn’t as good in a straight line from zero, nor through altitude-changing corners as my MR2, and I really did not like the electric steering.
(I haven’t driven Porsche’s electric steering, but I have yet to drive an electric rack that I like at all.)

Small event at a local track, apparently it was two days, and Friday was packed, and Saturday was empty. I went on Saturday. I guess check Mazda’s Twitter?

The BRZ’s electric steering is far better than most, at least to my hands.
(Before someone corrects me, I’m only about 80% sure the BRZ uses EPS, based on it having a fuse labeled “EPS”)

Haven't driven one yet, sadly. The BMWs and now Miatas that I have: sadness.
